The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and/or licensed clinician to implement individualized behavior intervention and skill acquisition programs for clients. This hybrid role involves providing direct one-on-one or small-group behavioral services, collecting and recording accurate data, monitoring client progress, and assisting in the development of communication, social, adaptive, and daily living skills. The RBT will implement behavior reduction strategies and reinforcement procedures as outlined in the client's treatment plan while promoting positive behavior change and increased independence.
The RBT will collaborate regularly with supervising BCBAs, clinicians, caregivers, and interdisciplinary treatment team members to ensure services are delivered consistently and effectively. Responsibilities include participating in supervision sessions, virtual team meetings, caregiver collaboration, and ongoing training to maintain competency and compliance with ethical and professional standards. The RBT is responsible for maintaining accurate, timely electronic documentation of services, client responses, and progress toward treatment goals while adhering to all applicable confidentiality and regulatory requirements.

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) – Nevada Requirements & Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles to implement behavior support plans and collect accurate behavioral data under supervision.
- Understanding of behavioral health and psychology fundamentals to support evidence-based interventions and client needs.
- Ability to implement behavior intervention and skill acquisition programs as directed by a supervising BCBA or licensed clinician.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with supervisors, interdisciplinary teams, caregivers, and clients.
- Ability to document services accurately and timely in electronic health records, maintaining professionalism and clarity.
- Preferred experience in behavioral health, mental health, autism services, developmental disabilities, or related human services settings.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, education, or a related field preferred but not required.
- Ability to work in structured environments while following clinical protocols, agency policies, and HIPAA confidentiality standards.
- Reliable internet access and ability to provide services in remote or hybrid settings (if applicable).
- Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board preferred.
- Candidates without certification must be willing to obtain RBT certification within required agency or supervision timelines.
